BP in counting game as it pays for oil spill
Buenos Aires News.Net Tuesday 4th May, 2010
The British Petroleum company is taking a financial hammering in its struggle to stem the flow of oil into the Gulf of Mexico.
Following the destruction of an oil drilling rig in the area which bounds the US coastline, BP has been forced to make reparation for one of the greatest environmental disasters ever to hit the US.
BP has said its efforts to plug the oil leak is costing 4.5 million euros a day.
The company will immediately give 25 million dollars to each of the four coastline states effected: Louisiana, Mississipi, Alabama and Florida.
Since the spill, there has been more opposition to White House plans for more offshore drilling around the US.
The governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, has already reversed his decision to push for more drilling off the coast of his state.
25 billion euros has been wiped off the value of BP shares since the rig caught fire. Email this story to a friend

Oil spill costs BP in reputation and money
In 1979 I worked on the last major blow out in the Gulf Of Mexico. It is my hope BP has better luck the Red Adair had in two weeks after that spill shout off the flow~
I now live in Florida away from the oil cover beaches I grew up in Texas. Maybe not for long!
I now operate a Nautical Yacht business in Key West. Hope we are spared!

Limbaugh on the oil spill...
Drill, Baby...Ugh
May 1, 2010 - Watching the unfolding horror show taking place in the Gulf of Mexico, what can one say that hasn’t already been said?
]
The pandering politicians and greedy industrialists justly deserve our fury and disgust. Their crocodile tears and bogus platitudes inspire contempt and then boredom. We’ve heard it all before. Remember this? Yeah, that was a good call. One small blessing: With the exception of her latest musings on Facebook - “accidents still happen” - Palin and the rest of the “Drill, Baby, Drill” contingent have largely stayed out of the limelight while the clean-up crews attempt to deal with this mess. Can’t say the same about Rush Limbaugh.
Broadcasting from the farthest reaches of our solar system, Limbaugh actually said the following on his radio “show:"
I want to get back to the timing of the blowing up, the explosion out there in the Gulf of Mexico of this oil rig. ... Now, lest we forget, ladies and gentlemen, the carbon tax bill, cap and trade, that was scheduled to be announced on Earth Day. I remember that. And then it was postponed for a couple of days later after Earth Day, and then of course immigration has now moved in front of it. But this bill, the cap-and-trade bill, was strongly criticized by hardcore environmentalist wackos because it supposedly allowed more offshore drilling and nuclear plants, nuclear plant investment. So, since they’re sending SWAT teams down there, folks, since they’re sending SWAT teams to inspect the other rigs, what better way to head off more oil drilling, nuclear plants, than by blowing up a rig? I’m just noting the timing here.
Sure. No doubt ACORN had something to do with the disaster. Good chance that Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi were in on it as well. And let’s not count out Van Jones. That guy would give his left pinky finger for an opportunity to work up a little agitprop while we weren’t paying close attention.

only part of my response showed up.
Are we all just going to stand around and wait for leadership? If someone will take the responsibility and wave the red flag to START then there are people ready to help. Have you seen the technology right in Florida near the spill?
It’s on Youtube Enviro Voraxial’s Technology and their website has videos from news footage it’s here http://www.evtn.com
also Alabama Unified has a sensible three phase ready to implement plan here:

How much destruction will the oil do before BP or Obama says send in these guys, get it cleaned up now. It’s just going to get worse until a state of emergency is called. Will someone take charge, please?
