BEIJING, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- Shanghai Port tasted its second consecutive win in the Chinese Super League (CSL) after getting past Guangzhou City 2-0, while Chengdu Rongcheng and Henan Songshan Longmen finished goalless on Sunday.
Shanghai defender Wang Shenchao headed in Li Ang's long pass in the 32nd minute, and Senegalese striker Cherif Ndiaye scored nine minutes later to seal the victory.
Shanghai ranked fifth in the CSL table with 31 points, while Guangzhou sat second to bottom with only three wins so far in the campaign.
Argentine striker Guido Carrillo netted for Henan in the 53rd minute, but it was disallowed due to the assisted player's offside.
Henan was placed fourth with a superior goal difference ahead of Shanghai, while Chengdu ranked eighth with 28 points.
