BUENOS AIRES, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- Goals from Sasha Marcich and Walter Bou gave Lanus a 2-1 home win over San Lorenzo in Argentina's Primera Division on Saturday.
Marcich gave his side the lead just before the half hour with a first-time finish from eight yards after Bou's cross from the right flank.
The latter doubled the advantage in the 53rd minute with an acrobatic overhead kick after Jose Canale's headed pass.
Diego Herazo pulled a goal back by thumping an eight-yard volley into the far corner, but the hosts held on to secure their sixth win of the campaign.
Lanus is now third in the 15-team Group B standings with 20 points from 11 games, two behind leader Deportivo Riestra, which has a game in hand.
In other Argentine Primera Division fixtures on Saturday, Gimnasia won 1-0 at Sarmiento, San Martin was held to a goalless home draw by Instituto Cordoba, Atletico Tucuman secured a 2-0 home victory over Platense, and Huracan won 1-0 at home to Banfield.
